Yemisi Abrahams, a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association and Nigerian Bar Association, has dedicated her life to her passion for law. With 40 years of experience in the legal field, Yemisi has extensive experience in the areas of family, real estate, immigration and estate administration.
Yemisi is a Nigerian native who pursued her legal education while working as a Queen’s Counsel in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in Nigeria. Yemisi worked in various departments including Public Prosecution, Legislative Drafting, and Public Guardian and Trustees.
Advanced Legal Training in Nigeria & London
Yemisi attended the University of Lagos, Nigeria where she obtained her L.LB. honours degree in 1982 and her Bachelor of Laws in 1983. Yemisi’s drive for education and dedication for improvement led her to pursue advanced legal training at the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in 1988 and additional training at the London Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in 1990 in the United Kingdom.
Practicing in Ontario since 2006
Yemisi immigrated to Canada in 1999 and brought with her diverse legal skills which she has applied to her Canadian practice. Yemisi was enrolled in and admitted to The Law Society of Upper Canada through completion of the Bar Admission study in March, 2006. Since obtaining her legal license to operate her practice in Ontario, Yemisi has strived to serve each individual she advocates for with a one-on-one approach and a rapid solution motto.
Yemisi’s dedication to assist the public with legal issues is consistently motivated by successful clientele resolutions and her genuine love for the legal profession.
